Terms of Service

Effective August 23, 2026

These terms cover your use of Itemize, the home inventory app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. What Itemize is (and isn't)

Itemize is a tool for recording and organizing a personal home inventory — photos, descriptions, values, and locations of the things you own, arranged by floor, room, and place.

Worth knowing

Itemize helps you build documentation. It doesn't guarantee that any insurer will accept it, and it isn't a substitute for a professional appraisal or for advice from your insurance provider or an attorney.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be able to form a binding contract under the laws that apply to you to use Itemize.

3. Your content

You own the photos, descriptions, and inventory data you add to Itemize. By adding it, you give us permission to store, process, and display it back to you — solely to provide the app's features. You confirm you have the right to store any photo or content you upload.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, you'll be charged for the plan you selected.

Because Apple and Google handle billing, cancellations are managed there too — through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not by contacting us.

5. Acceptable use

6. No warranty

Itemize is provided "as is." We work hard to keep the app reliable and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Itemize and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Termination

You can stop using Itemize and delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Itemize after a change means you accept the update.
